Tripzo is a free train travel companion for India, covering the whole journey from finding a train to reaching the hotel. It runs in this browser and as an Android app.

Trains

• Find trains by number, by name, or between two stations.
• Live running status — where a train is now, how late it is, and which platform it is expected on.
• Unreserved passenger trains too. Booking sites leave these out because they cannot be booked online. Tripzo lists them.
• Seat availability and fares, class by class, for the day you are travelling.
• Full schedules with every halt, and station boards showing what is due at a platform.
• PNR status — coach, berth and confirmation for each passenger.
• Connecting journeys when no direct train runs.

Getting there and staying

• Hotels near the station, with prices compared across booking sites and the cheaper one marked.
• Taxis from the station to where you are going.
• Buses, for routes the railway does not serve.

How it works

Ask in plain Hindi or English — "Hisar se Amritsar kal" — by typing or by voice. Tripzo works out the stations, the date and the trains that run.

No account is needed and nothing is charged. Tripzo does not sell train tickets; it shows what is running so you can decide, and hands you to the operator's own site when you want to book.
